U.Mi-1 is an exchange program aimed at bringing cultural awareness to orphaned kids in Nigeria and Japan through artistic workshops. Encouraging dialogue through art and giving the children a stimulating experience is at the heart of this project. The first workshop "My imaginary Lagos" was run in collaboration with architect Megumi Matsubara, and introduced 15 children at Nonohana No Ie Children's Home to Lagos architecture and the people within the spaces. A similar workshop was held at Little Saints Orphanage, Lagos, introducing 20 kids to Tokyo, Megumi and the kids at the Children's Home.
Megumi and Gozi hope to exhibit the very creative artwork produced by the kids.
