to navigate. Fumiko Egawa is a textile designer whose Indian-ink paintings on silk and cotton have been exhibited at Takashimaya Stores and featured in publications such as Sosaku Ichiba and Contemporary Craft Japan Vol 2.
TThe U.Mi-1 SS2010 collection is inspired by Picasso's famous painting Les Desmoiselles d'Avignon, which is known to have been greatly influenced by Africa. Gozi applies a subtle use of the cubist theory to African prints and traditional cuts such as the Nigerian agbada. A true homecoming.
