Megumi Matsubara is an architect whose creation spans from static architecture to ephemeral situations. She is also known as a founder of Assistant - international & interdisciplinary design practice. Her previous projects have been shown at galleries and museums such as Galerie des Galeries, Galeries Lafayette (Paris), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), DesignTide in Tokyo 2007. She collaborates with Gozi and the children from Nana No Ie this season (see news).

The first U.Mi-1 menswear collection is is inspired by Tokyo Aoyama's architecture, which is translated into clothing as geometric shapes, slits and angles. Gozi collaborates with artist and architect Megumi Matsubara on Tokyo, Japan vs. Lagos, Nigeria architecture focusing on the people within the buildings and spaces.
