Tetsuo HARADA studied Fine Arts at the School of Tamabi, Tokyo. His major artwork “Earth Weaving” is an environmental sculpture in granite, integrated into the Tazawako dam. With its waves, rocks, sun, the sculpture stands in harmony with the dam, the mountain of Tazawako city and Komagatake volcano, and creates the perfect place where man and nature dialogue and are complementary. Through his sculptures, Harada aims to create a bond between people: a bond of peace, friendship and fraternity that can unify nations. He resides in Paris and teaches art at the National Superior School of Versailles (EAV), France.
